MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

What is MOPS?

Here at MOPS, we are on a mission to celebrate motherhood. We build circles of women who love each other like family, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. That’s why we connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own cities, who meet to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom. This is motherhood, and together we can change the world in all the best ways.

MOPS International encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women, and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with the local church.

What is SCL MOPS?

The MOPS group at St. Catherine Laboure provides mothers with children birth through kindergarten with an opportunity to share faith and friendship, explore areas of creativity and hear instruction that equips them for the responsibilities of family and community. Every meeting has a specific topic: instructional, discussion or just a social agenda. Childcare (MOPPETS) is provided during meetings. (Due to Covid-19, we are not providing childcare at this time).

In addition to bimonthly meetings, there are events throughout the year to continue to build bonds within the group. This includes a monthly playdate and mom's night out as well as family days and date nights throughout the year.
