A Message From Our Pastor

Did you know that St. Catherine Laboure Parish will be celebrating its 70th Anniversary as a parish this year?  Since the beginning of the Parish, the grace of God has been alive in our hearts, in our families and in our faith community.  We continue to strive to follow Jesus Christ, the evangelizer of the poor, inspired by the Charism of St. Vincent DePaul.  This evangelizing spirit has taught us to live, share and walk the journey of faith together.  Together we have listened to the Word of God, celebrated the Eucharist, and reached out to those in need.

In the spirit of “All Things New,” we are invited to invest in our faith by word and deeds seeking new ways of evangelization that will impact our faith today and future generations. As we invest in our faith today, we are investing in our future.

Investing in our faith for the future has been a goal for St. Catherine Parish. St. Catherine’s Day School and Parish School of Religion have been a place not only for education formation but spiritual and moral formation, thus providing a holistic formation to our children. The Day School and Parish School of Religion have always been supported in many ways by the Parish, especially with an annual subsidy. Our schools have united families, created new Christian bonds and friendship, and served our parish in countless ways.  As we invest our faith today in a hope for an even brighter future, we invite all school families to consider coming on board boldly, participating fully, actively, and consciously as the mother Church teaches us in the liturgy.

You have remained committed to our Parish mission and that is why we invite you once again to rejuvenate your faith and spirituality. It is a time to renew and reawaken in us the faith, hope, trust, generosity, and service to our parish. May we say YES to the mission of Christ and bring it to fulfilment. We call upon you to journey with us in this process of Investing in our faith, investing in our future and make it a success.

Our commitment to this noble task, will help our parish move to another level. On the weekends of September 9th, 10th and 16th, 17th, we will kick off an Offertory Enhancement Program. On September 23rd and 24th we will begin a Stewardship Program that will help us lift our spiritual lives to God and be firmly committed to serving and supporting our parish with the charisms God has gifted each one of us for the growth in faith as a family of St. Catherine Laboure.

Please consider being a part of this process so that we may in the Spirit of St. Catherine Laboure live the mission of service as Christ taught us. Come as we journey together, to invest in our faith and invest in our future.

Thank you very much for your Prayers, Commitment, Generosity and Willingness to journey together as the Parish of St. Catherine Laboure.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Dominic Ngangah, CM.
