Participants will learn some of the principles of the social doctrine of the Church and endeavor to apply them to current issues. They will also be informed through the “Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church” (Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace), the sacred Scriptures, the Vincentian charism of preferential love for the poor, the social encyclicals of the Popes, and more. Participants will read, study, and learn apart from the meetings, but the work load is realistic. 8 meetings per year.
