A Message From Our Pastor

Dear Parish Family,

I am honored and grateful to serve as your pastor and witness the love of God each day in our parish community.  As our Vincentian charism reflects, it is our responsibility to recognize the many gifts that God has given to us, and to share those gifts freely to build up His kingdom and to help others.

On September 14th & 15th, 2024, we will be celebrating Commitment Weekend.  I invite you to prayerfully consider how you will respond to the call to live and share God’s love by making a new commitment or recommitting to continue financially supporting our parish through our Investing in our Faith, Investing in our Future program.

God has blessed our parish in many ways. The number of people attending Mass continues to rise, we welcomed over 100 new families last year, and we have regained financial stability. Your sacrificial giving has enabled us to continue the substantial Day School subsidy, allowing some financial relief to those choosing a Catholic education for their children. Additionally, your generosity has permitted us to once again appropriately maintain our campus grounds, create the much-needed position of a part-time Youth Minister and adequately support our many ministries, including our Lunch & Learn program and the re-establishment of bereavement meals.

Financial stability also allows us to dream for our future and growth, while continuing to provide for our current parish community. Our dreams could include providing partial subsidies for Youth Ministry, the Parish School of Religion or Vacation Bible School; all of which are currently participant funded, or perhaps beginning a Parish Retreat ministry. The hopes and visions could be endless with your dedication to SCL.

I am excited about the many good things happening at St. Catherine Laboure Parish.  Declaring our mission in the simplest of terms, we are called upon to love God, and love others.  I sincerely thank you for letting your love shine through by sharing your treasure through sacrificial giving.

Gratefully yours in Christ,

Fr. Dominic Ngangah, cm
