Adult Volunteers Needed - Vincentian Christmas Program

2022 Vincentian Christmas Program (joint project with SCL and St. Vincent)

Adult Vincentian Christmas program volunteers are needed at St. Vincent's (1408 S. 10th Street)

For the Vincentian Christmas Program this year, we are anticipating 2,000 people - including Seniors and low-income families with several hundred children.  We will need Volunteers for varying dates/times from Dec 12-18.  It is important that all Volunteers be comfortable interacting with people who live in extreme poverty, as well as being able to say NO when pushed to grant additional requests from our guests or asked for additional items. 

Additionally, we will need volunteers to help stock and set up our "shopping center" as we are returning to shopping with clients this year.  After setup, we will need workers at each station during our shopping days.  We will also need several "shoppers" to assist our clients in picking out their items designated for each family.  Some of our volunteers will need to be stronger and able-bodied in order to lift heavy groceries into carts, and some will be loading groceries into the trunks of clients' cars in our pickup line outdoors.  All shifts are either morning or afternoon shifts, with St. Vincent's providing breaks and food & drinks given our to all volunteers.
