Maintenance for Mission

As previously announced and celebrated, we retired our parish debt for the 2007 Faith Builds Capital Campaign this past fall. After many discussions with the Parish Staff and our Parish Finance Committee, we are establishing a new fund to be used for major repairs and maintenance that go above and beyond the ordinary parish budget.  The new fund is titled:  Maintenance for Mission.  Several surrounding parishes have established such funds to help replace, restore and renew an aging campus. Our Maintenance for Mission fund is a priority at St. Catherine Laboure if we intend to be a vibrant and growing parish. St. Catherine’s is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, and many of our buildings require costly maintenance and repair to remain operational. As you may be aware, the church experienced A/C issues several weekends last summer. In addition, the HVAC system in the Parish Hall, which also provides service for the cafeteria, is quickly approaching the end of operational expectancy. We have made multiple roof repairs over the past several years, but it has been decades since they have been replaced. The Maintenance for Mission Fund is intended to supplement our ordinary income to undertake these major renewal projects. We are asking for your help so that we can continue our Christian worship, education, spiritual programs, and outreach ministries for the next 70 years and beyond. To assist the parish with maintaining and enhancing the St. Catherine Laboure facilities via Online Giving, https://www.osvhub.com/sclparish/giving/funds, by mailing or dropping off a check at the Parish Office, or through the collection basket at church. Please mark your check donations “Maintenance for Mission” in the memo line. If you are an envelope user, the Maintenance for Mission envelope will be included in future envelope packets each month.

Thank you for your continued support of time, treasure and talent.
